I would like to thank everyone in Chessington, Kingston and Surbiton who supported me in the general election. Whilst we didn't get the result we wanted locally, I am delighted by the national result for the Conservatives and that we now have the certainty and clear direction needed, and a positive one nation Conservative Government.
I am extremely proud of the campaign we ran locally, which was positive and brought energy and ideas, and I am hugely grateful to my team of amazing local supporters who worked extremely hard. I absolutely loved every minute of the campaign and I look forward to continuing to campaign with the local Conservative party and support our local community.
Congratulations to Ed Davey for his success in the election, and well done to all the candidates who stood - thank you for adding challenge, good debate, and humour to the campaign.
