Aphra Brandreth MP has visited a state-of-the-art egg manufacturing facility in Chester South and Eddisbury, highlighting the strength of the area’s food production sector.
The site, D Wise Ltd, is a third-generation, family-run business based in No Man’s Heath. During her visit, Aphra met with Managing Director Lucy Whittaker, Commercial Manager Richard Whittaker, and the wider team to learn more about their work and the role the business plays in supplying the UK food industry.
D Wise Ltd specialises in producing high-quality egg products for manufacturers and caterers, including pasteurised liquid egg and ready-to-use products for commercial kitchens. Operating on a business-to-business basis, the company supplies customers across the country and forms a key part of the UK’s food supply chain.
Speaking after the visit, Aphra highlighted the scale and complexity of the operation, noting how much work takes place behind the scenes to support everyday food production.
She also praised the company as a major local employer and an example of how modern food manufacturing and farming continue to work hand in hand in Cheshire.
Aphra thanked the team at D Wise Ltd for their warm welcome and for providing valuable insight into an industry that plays a vital role in keeping the country’s food system running smoothly.
