Aphra Brandreth, MP for Chester South and Eddisbury, recently visited The Russett School in Weaverham, a specialist setting for children with Severe Learning Difficulty (SLD) or Complex Learning Needs.
The visit highlighted the school's nurturing environment, where dedicated staff and excellent facilities, including a fantastic Sensory Room, ensure that every pupil is supported to thrive. Aphra was particularly pleased to meet some of the incredible young people and see firsthand the care and commitment that underpin the school’s approach.
Ms Brandreth extended her thanks to Executive Headteacher Emma Leach, along with Yvonne, Andrea, and the wider team, for the warm welcome and the inspiring work they do every day.
Aphra continues to champion fair and sustainable funding for SEND provision, recognising the vital role schools like The Russett play in giving every child the best possible start in life.
