Aphra Brandreth joined Cllr Simon Eardley today, meeting with Dave Hampson to hear about the work he and the City Walls Repair Campaign FaceBook Group are doing to raise awareness and campaign for positive action to repair the city walls. At the end of January Aphra joined the 'Walk the Wall' Event organised by the campaign group to continue to raise awareness of the need to repair the walls and to urge the council to act.

Aphra says: 'Whilst some restoration has taken place, there are some areas of the walls and stairs which have been collapsed for several years. The walls are a hugely important part of the City of Chester’s heritage, and are vital for encouraging tourism and supporting the City of Chester to thrive."
