Aphra Brandreth MP with Vodafone

Aphra Brandreth, MP for Chester South and Eddisbury, is continuing to press for better mobile coverage across the constituency. In a follow-up with Vodafone, she raised the urgent need to tackle poor signal in rural communities and ensure that residents are not left behind in today’s digital world.

Too many areas across the constituency, including villages like Delamere Park and Willington, still suffer from patchy or unreliable coverage. In 2025, that's simply not good enough.

Aphra is holding both mobile providers and the Government to account, calling for real progress rather than more promises. During the latest discussions, she pressed for updates on existing upgrade plans, including signal boosters and mast-sharing arrangements, and made the case for prioritising investment where it's most urgently needed.

Aphra explained,

"In a connected world, no one should be left in the digital dark. Improving mobile coverage isn’t just about convenience – it’s essential for safety, work, and staying in touch."

Aphra is encouraging local residents to share their experiences and help highlight priority areas by responding to her mobile signal survey below.
