John Dwyer and Aphra Brandreth

In Kelsall today, Aphra Brandreth met with Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner, John Dwyer, for an update on what he’s working on and to discuss local crime concerns. John has been extremely focused on delivering across Cheshire, and it is now one of the best performing Police forces in the country.

Aphra says: "Visible policing is an issue that often gets raised with me, so it is encouraging that we also now have the highest number of officers ever, with more officers on the beat as part of the community policing model. We discussed a range of issues from rural crime, to speeding and fly tipping, as well as the need to crack down on cyber crime and scams with more than 60% of crime now online, and ensure that local residents have access to scam awareness information and support.

There is always more to be done and I will continue to work closely with John to ensure we keep our communities safe."
