On Holocaust Memorial Day Aphra Brandreth attended a remembrance event at Richmond Synagogue

On 27thJanuary 2019 Aphra Brandreth attended Richmond Synagogue in an event jointly organised with Richmond Council on Holocaust memorial Day. Philip Spencer, Emeritus Professor of Holocaust studies and Kingston University spoke along with contributions from holocaust survivors, in an important event to mark and remember those who were killed during the Holocaust.

Aphra said: “It was very important for me to attend this event and to be part of ensuring that we never forget the atrocities of the Holocaust. I was extremely moved by the stories of the survivors who spoke. It is so important that we all come together and remember the six million people who were killed.”
