Aphra with Audlem Sign

Audlem is one of the many lovely villages in the Chester South & Eddisbury Constituency. I was delighted to attend the Audlem Voices Winter Concert at St James the Great Church before Christmas and pop by the Audlem craft fair too.

Supporting our villages to thrive is a priority, and today I attended the Cheshire East Council Highways & Transport Committee to hear first hand the concerns raised by local residents regarding the Council's proposal to charge for parking in the local village car park. The campaign group led by local residents raised important issues about the potential impact of the charges for those using local services including the medical centre, community hall, playing fields and visiting the cemetery. Cllr Rachel Bailey spoke against the proposal at today's meeting, and continues to work hard to support local residents on this and other local issues.
