Aphra Brandreth, MP for Chester South and Eddisbury, met with the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association at the Conservative Party Conference to discuss how care and support for people living with the condition can be improved.
As Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on MND, Aphra is committed to championing better care for people living with the progressive condition and supporting their families.
During the meeting, Aphra heard about the importance of developing a bespoke, fast-track MND care pathway, ensuring fair access to new and emerging treatments, and improving access to essential home adaptations.
Aphra has previously pressed for faster access to home adaptations for people living with progressive conditions, recognising the importance of ensuring people can access the support they need as their circumstances change.
She will continue to raise the issues facing people living with MND and their families, championing improvements to ensure they receive the care, treatment and practical support they need.
